The event will begin at 5:30pm with a light reception on the second floor of the Schomburg Center. The program will begin at 7:00pm in the auditorium. President’s remarks will be followed by a Q&A session by Alison Stewart '88 (CBS News Correspondent)
Attendees are encouraged to reconvene after the event at Harlem Tavern, 2153 Frederick Douglass Boulevard (at 116th Street).

Simmons Africana Studies Endowed Fund.” We are close to our goal of raising $100,000 and with your help, we can honor President Simmons while creating a permanent endowment for the department.
